Clive read mathematics at Oxford before joining the marketing department at Gallaher Limited in 1981. Whilst with the company he
completed a PhD at Henley Management College in 1986 on simulation and expert systems in marketing.
From 1987 as a Director of an Anglo-Swiss management consultancy, Clive developed expertise in the creation and use of market simulation
in the FMCG and financial services sectors, as well as in the computer industry, telecommunications and retail businesses. In the early nineties, he led an influential team of consulting
professionals working for a large number of UK based and multi-national companies, including Bacardi Martini, BAT, Cable & Wireless, First Direct (HSBC), Mars, Tesco and Zurich Insurance.
Clive became the Managing Partner of marionet in 1995.
He has worked on a variety of consulting acquisitions and has substantial expertise in the fast moving consumer goods markets and manufacturing industries. His assignments have included strategic market analysis and recommendations for Avaya, Guinness, Prudential Assurance and Raleigh Industries and the development of a mobile telecommunications simulation for Vodafone in Spain. He is currently involved in e-enablement strategy development work for Barclays Bank PLC.
Clive is an engaging presenter, whose broad and deep experience is as rare as it is well appreciated by his audiences.
He is a visiting Fellow at Henley Management College, the Department of Accounting and Management Science at Southampton University and Manchester Business School.
In his spare time, Clive's interests focus on vintage cars and in furthering his career as a keen musician.
